History
At ADS Services, we have established a highly skilled team of Midland-based professionals with over 50 years’ combined experience delivering premium and innovative pressure control solutions to the Permian Basin E&P community. By partnering with a leading provider of critical pressure control equipment and services in the Permian Basin along with investment from Black Bay Energy Capital, ADS Services was established in 2017 to expand its product suite and customer base, with particular emphasis on growth in the higher-pressure and more technically challenging areas of the Delaware Basin, in response to significant customer demand.
Our management team members have extensive active contacts throughout the petroleum industry and regional knowledge in the Permian Basin area as well as experiences in areas like Eagleford, Bakken, Marcellus, Utica, and Woodbine. Amongst our prior and current relationships with a multitude of drilling contractors and operating companies, ADS Services is uniquely positioned to provide the service, operational excellence, and technical solutions that E&P operators need to reduce downtime and improve well productivity.
With our seasoned management team, we are committed to accomplish a strong growth following the increase of rig activity in the Permian Basin by providing quality service to our industry leading product lines, which will result in cost effective solutions for our clients during volatile commodity markets.

Leadership
Charlie Orbell, President
Prior to joining ADS Services in 2017, Charlie spent 34 years within the E&P industry around the world. With his technical knowledge and practical experience in both production and drilling along with his strong management skills, he has successfully delivered financially sound projects safely and timely on a consistent basis, which has catapulted his previous companies ahead of competition.
Through years of supervising various high-risk and considerably challenging assignments, he has the problem-solving ability to overcome any obstacles and the expertise to creatively, properly engineer solutions at any stage of operations.
He is an active member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADS) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
Barry Babcock, Business Development Manager
Prior to joining ADS Services in 2017, Barry spent 37 years providing all aspects of sales and marketing services on behalf of oilfield companies, including execution and negotiation of Master Service Agreements (MSAs) with major oil companies as well as equity funded independent operators. He has extensive knowledge and experience in managing daily operations to achieve a company’s short-range and long-range business development objectives while keeping his customers in mind.
He is a member of the American Association of Drilling Engineers (AADE), a member of the American Petroleum Institute (API), and a member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors. He also serves on the Permian Basin Oilmen’s Bass Invitational Sponsorship Committee.
